About the Founder

Jasmine Paul is an author, motivational speaker, entrepreneur, and founder of The Wealth Playground. Her work has been featured in many prestigious institutions including Harvard's curriculum on financial education.

Jasmine credits being unhoused during college for defining her purpose behind The Wealth Playground… financial education. During senior year in college, she found herself sleeping in her car and on friends' couches. As a first-generation American, she was so ashamed of her financial difficulties that she kept them a secret from her family for years.

But Jasmine was determined to change her life. While with the Air Force, she spent all her spare time soaking up financial education and seeking advice and mentors. Not only did Jasmine purchase her first home at age 23 and repay $40,000 in student loans by 24, but she helped over 110 adults repay $350,000 in student loans and credit card debt. 

This inspired her to found The Wealth Playground to empower young people to understand money and make responsible financial choices.

Her first book, "A Boy, a Budget, and a Dream",  was named Parents.com's Top 10 Best Books to Teach Kids about Money and has helped young readers save over $52,000. She has partnered with Taco Bell Foundation, La Vida Scholars, Oakland/Berkley YWCA, Caesar Rodney School District, St. Louis Public School District, Tampa Bay Startup Week, and more.
​​Jasmine is a Certified Financial Education Instructor, a former Senior Finance Manager in the Air Force, and has a Master’s in Business/Entrepreneurship. Her goal is to inspire money conversations early and often to ensure that kids live out their dreams instead of living in their cars.
