A debt-free story started at a kitchen table.

Every home's center of gravity where countless stories unfold, laughter echoes, tears flow, shouts of frustration reverberate against the walls, and memories are etched into the very fibers of our lives. It's not the living room with its plush sofas or the cozy bedroom with its secrets whispered at night. It's the kitchen table. 

About four years ago, I met a lovely couple who welcomed me into their home while on an assignment. We had a conversation at their kitchen table just before I returned home. It ended with me in tears, sharing my financial journey, what God has done for me, and my passion for financial education. My words encouraged the couple to create a plan to attack debt.

This weekend, the couple contacted me and shared they were debt-free! Close to six figures in debt gone in 4 years! The burden must be lifted from their shoulders so they will not be in debt and now have the opportunity to live life on their terms and not on the terms and conditions of a loan provider. I'm so thankful they were open to listening to me and my journey that evening.

I always hear stories like this, starting at the kitchen table, a living room, or a car ride. Financial education begins with a conversation. I created The Wealth Playground Series so people can start money conversations with kids early and often.
